We are a community of young people who find ourselves in the middle of a journey. We're figuring out how to live in the way of Jesus. We want to learn what it means to be a part of God's story of healing our world. It's a pretty amazing story to be a part of as it unites different generations, languages, and cultures under the same mission.
But the truth is it's hard to live like there's something worth hoping for. We've got family issues, school pressure and a bunch of other stuff that can make us want to just shut down. Getting through life works out the best when we do it together. So join us on the journey! BELONG with us. Be FILLED with us. Be LIGHT with us!
BNC Youth is made up of Beaverton Nazarene students grades 6-12. Our gatherings look a bit different compared to our other church things. They're a bit more rowdy and we do more activities out and about. Yet we're still just one part of the diverse family here at BNC.
Most of our life together goes down in the Lighthouse. It's where middle and high school students meet Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays. In order to stay connected to God, we have to stay connected to each other !
Hopefully you can find yourself at home here--whether that means just coming to get out of the house for a bit or finding some new friends. Either way, we're here for you.
Not really into church?
You're not alone. If church equals religion or just listening to some stranger talk at you, we're not into it either. If youth group is just a weird fan club of people wearing Christian t-shirts, we're not into it either. Thankfully that's not what church is…at least not at BNC. We're a diverse group of young people who are willing to ask the tough questions about life and we're on a search to find answers. You're welcome to join the search. Not convinced? Good! I wouldn't be either. I suppose you'll have to come spend some time with us to see for real. ~Pastor Mark
